Overview
The Time Delay Emergency Light is designed for use in industrial and commercial applications that feature HID lights throughout the facility or building. HID lights, such as Metal Halide, Mercury Vapor, or High Pressure Sodium, have a “warm-up” time when turned on, meaning they do not reach their full light power, or luminosity, for about 15 minutes. During this “warm-up”, it can be harder to see and migrate throughout the building. Emergency lights turn on immediately after AC power to a building is lost. When power returns, emergency lights normally switch off automatically.
For a facility with HID lamps, this would mean that there could be a time period where illumination levels are low and could fall below OSHA standards. The Time Delay Emergency Light eliminates this possibility by continuing to ililluminate for 15 minutes after power returns. During these 15 minutes, HID lamps with have enough time to return to full illumination levels. Time delay emergency lights are an innovative and easy way to insure the safety of occupants in facilities with HID lamps.

We offer a choice between a steel housing and waterproof NEMA 4X housing.
The steel housing is suitable for most commercial applications. The 20-gauge housing is powder coated in white and is corrosion resistant. Steel emergency lights can stand up to moderate abuse.
The NEMA 4X waterproof housing is made from high-grade gray polycarbonate. This housing will stand up to adverse weather conditions and is ideal for wash down areas and industrial applications.
Internal
Utilizes 120/277v AC electricity to operate and charge the battery. Comes standard with solid state charging circuitry, low voltage disconnect, AC lockout, and brownout protection. Available in custom voltages upon request.
